It will be when we have a house. Right now we live in an apartment and we have as many bookshelves as can be contained within a two-bedroom. BUT, when we move into a house, it MUST have a whole room just for books. And I'm sure more shelves will spill into other rooms too.
I presently have 8 full size book shelves (about 6 feet tall) and 2 half size. No wall space for any others unless I start knocking nails in and actually building things - but I don't think my walls would take the weight!
Oh goodness, that is amazing. Eleanor has three three-shelfers in her toy room. I have two five-shelfers that are overflowing and books are also stacked in front of them on the floor and end table. But, to be fair, I do not usually pay even full price for books and most I sell when I am done. The only books I have to keep are the ones about Eleanor of Aquitaine, and anything by Dan Jones!
Yeah, I would not like it much either. But in all honesty, I'm not much of a re-reader, so owning many books does not make sense for me. I'll keep the books I reeeeeally love, favorites from my childhood, etc. But otherwise nope. Once I've read it, back to Half-Price Books it goes!
Seen that quote before. Brilliant and pretty much my decorating philosophy.

DeleteLuckily I have a 2 bedroom house. It'd be hell if I lived in an apartment. I'd have to make CHOICES about buying books [shudder]
