On speaking to two people - one a never reader and the other a reluctant/occasional one - both said that they either don't 'see' pictures when they read or had 'no imagination'. Maybe that's the thing. People who have active imaginations read. Those who don't..... don't.
That's possible. I usually don't see pictures in my head when I am reading either - but again, I am reading non-fiction that I don't have to imagine, because I already know what it looks like. I wish everyone could find at least one book they love in their lifetime.
