    1. It is a dumpster fire of a book, unfortunately! But the cover got me, too.

    3. Yep. it is a bunch of idiots who allow themselves to be lured into a trap with promise of a free boat ride and then they wander around and argue about coconuts and die. SO. STUPID.

  5. How do you feel about Taylor Jenkins Reid? I've obviously seen her books everywhere, but I'm not sure if I would actually enjoy them. I feel like I can trust your opinion as our tastes are usually pretty aligned.

    1. I absolutely LOVE everything since Daisy Jones. Maybe in Another Life is the only one of her earlier books I've read, and it was okay. Not a terrible book at all, but NOTHING compared to her more current work - especially Evelyn Hugo. That's probably my most favorite, but I loved Daisy Jones, and Malibu Rising, and Carrie Soto was FANTASTIC. Start with Evelyn if you are going to give her a try, or Daisy Jones. It's not that the other won't make sense, but if you read Carrie or Malibu first, you will miss some little Easter Eggs. They all exist in the same universe.

I hope you both enjoy them when you read them!

    Have a great weekend!

  7. What an interesting collection of titles! 199 Cemeteries to See Before You Die - what? But I love a beautiful or unusual cemetery. I wandered forever in the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah - it is huge and SO cool.

    1. Yes, lol, I am a weirdo who would go to cemeteries in the cities I visit. The book was okay, and I am thinking that Bonaventure Cemetery is in there...but there were so many that I can't quite remember now but the name is familiar. The book was okay but needed way more pictures. It was a weird size too, like it was too big to be a regular book but too small to be considered a coffee table book. Pages should have been larger, put in more photos, and made it an actual coffee table book.

    Fiction:

Eight Hours from England by Anthony Quayle

    Non-Fiction:

A Thing of Beauty - Travels in Mythical and Modern Greece by Peter Fiennes
What if? - Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions by Randall Munroe

  9. Despite the immense popularity of Taylor's books, I've never read one. I think I do own one though so I'll have to give them a chance at some point. :) Thanks for the recent visit to my website. Enjoyed chatting with you. :)

    1. It took me ages to finally read one of hers, Daisy Jones and Evelyn Hugo were everywhere. I held off for a long time because it's not really my typical read; when I do read fiction, it's typically YA thrillers and I am pretty selective. But I loved Daisy Jones when I finally gave it a go, and after that and Evelyn, I knew I would read everything she writes from here on out. Which one do you own?

I enjoyed chatting with you as well, thank you!
