Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.
This is everything since my last STS post after Grandpa passed in November. Obviously my coping mechanism is books.

I added 'Fear & Fury' to my Wish List recently. Are we watching the same Booktubers? I have 'Warrior Queens' in a triple stack awaiting the right time.....
ReplyDeleteJust ONE purchase this week:
'Modernity Britain 1957-62' by David Kynaston. Its part of my idea to read about the history I actually lived through..
nope, just the exact same taste in my subjects, lol. I actually don't watch any booktubers or booktoks or anything. Who would you recommend?
DeleteMy coping mechanism is books, too. And a lovely comfort they are! Some great ones here, too.
ReplyDeleteI was curious what you thought of Natalie Lawrence's book; I found it a bit too prone to silly errors, and the author came to scold me on my blog for my review, so I was left feeling reaaaaally ambivalent.
I read that book because I saw it on your blog and the cover was so pretty. I felt like it was really a mixed bag, so to speak? Some chapters were so interesting and others were kind of blah. I went bck and looked at your review again, and the author's response. That was...not cool. I did not ntice the errors you did, as I don't know as much about this subject, but they are BIG errors!
DeleteYou have an interesting diversity of reads there, and what better comfort is there in a time of need and stress than a good book
ReplyDeleteSo true, Dorothy. Books get me through nearly everything that wants to break me.
DeleteOh Sarah, I am so sorry for your loss!! My coping mechanism is also books! I hope you have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Cindy. My heart is still hurting, but books make it hurt a little less.
DeleteSo may books! I hope we both enjoy Dark is When the Devil Comes. I'm hoping to get to it soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope we do, too! Her last one was...not my favorite, to put it nicely. The author has so much potential but then seems to mess up the story just when I think she's gotten it. Fingers crossed this time around!
DeleteA great looking haul. Sending love. It's a tough time.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Thank you so much, Emily. Love and books and hugs are pretty much the only things getting me through.
DeleteSo many great additions.. I haven't read any of them.
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you're interested in! Some of them were fantastic. others, not so much.
