I Still Hate Everything, But...

...I spent the last couple weeks creating a rage-filled playlist with friends on Spotify (updated pretty much daily) and now we are clear-eyed and ready for battle. Personal favorites on the list include:

It is heart-warming to see so much support from around the world (check out 'Dear American Sisters' on TikTok), knowing we are not alone. I cried the first time I saw some of them, in the early days when I could not believe this was really happening AGAIN.

The next four years are going to be bad. Hopefully we can make some progress in 2026 to correct this mistake. I am looking forward to his supporters entering the 'find out' portion of FAFO (I am quite amused by the idiots who failed to realize the Affordable Care Act and the derisive 'ObamaCare' coined by Repubs are the same thing), but I am so pissed that the rest of us are stuck here with them, because this lesson is not ours to learn. We already KNOW.

I Hate Everything

 I’ve been trying to work on blog stuff and posts and updates, but it’s just not happening. Tuesday was awful, Wednesday was worse. I had students asking me if they were going to be sent to Mexico, away from the only home they’ve ever known. Kids who were born here, who are US citizens. Kids whose parents were born elsewhere. It’s so fucking heartbreaking.

If you voted for this, embrace it. Own it. You decided that being racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, narcissistic, a rapist, and a convicted felon were not deal-breakers.

We are not the same.

Spell the Month in Books | November

I am FINALLY getting around to this one, which is hosted by Jana @ Reviews from the Stacks. I have seen Marianne do this one forever and keep saying I would start...and then forget because, well, I don't know.

It's really easy. Just find book titles which spell the month in question. Jana does post optional themes for the months, if you like having that guide. I will not be using them, as themes are usually harder to do with non-fiction.
