So it has been a minute since I changed things up and I must say for myself that I am really into the new color scheme, though it is far less bookish than before - as in it is completely not bookish.
But...
Well, I really love purple. It's my fave.
What do you think of the new view? Is there something that doesn't work for you - color, font, font size, etc? Let me know!
Happy Reading
Sarah
I think it looks fine- I especially like the blue banner color at the top.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I really dig this color scheme a lot.
DeleteI like the colour swirls! I think everything works well and is clear to read so I'm happy!
ReplyDeleteThat's my #1 concern - readability. I used a really crappy font one time for the content - actually, the font that I now use for the header, haha. It is much easier to read when it is gigantic. And I love the color swirls too <3
DeleteI love the purples :-). Nice and easy to read on my tablet, and interesting to view
ReplyDeleteI love the different shades too. The moment I saw the color scheme I knew I had to use it. I do miss the old background, with the beautiful old books, but change is good. I'm glad you like it!
DeleteI like your layout (and blog title! haha). I just read a book that is a great resource for students getting prepared for college. It is called "College Beyond the States" by Jennifer Viemont . It is a super helpful book with great advice for American college students who might want to choose to study abroad to save money and still getting a great education. I think this book makes it seem like a no brainer for sure! You can save so much money compared to going to college in the US. The website has more info on the book www.beyondthestates.com.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The blog title came out of frustration one day when I was first setting up my blog. Every cute or witty or funny title i tried was already in use. I literally shouted out loud, "UGH! All the book blog names are taken!" and voila, my blog was born.
DeleteEven though I am past my college years (though I am always thinking about getting a second Master's, or a Doctorate), the book might be useful for me even. Thank you!
It's cool! It kind of reminds me of an older Mac background.."Snow Leopard", I think.

(I'm not a Mac guy, but we had one at the library as part of some long-forgotten federal program for service personnel to communicate with their higher-ups.)
That is why it looked familiar! In high school we had all those Macs that were funky colors, I think ours were teal. I am not a Mac person at all either, but that is all the schools use. Thank goodness through the special ed department, I get a PC!
