First Line Friday #182

First Line Friday is a weekly feature and simple to do - grab the book nearest you and post the first line. Carrie hosts this over on her blog Reading is my Superpower.

The Jewish migration to the United States began in the nineteenth century largely from central Europe.

Happy Reading!

  1. Looking forward to your review!

"In the twenty-fifth chapter of the Gospel according to Matthew, Christ sets out his vision - and his division - of humanity, proposing two very different and seemingly irreconcilable collective categories: those in this world who are believers in the one true religion and the one true God, and those who lack such a faith and reject such a single omnipotent deity."

The Undivided Past - History Beyond our Differences by David Cannadine.

    3. Yes! Also, white nationalists. Seeing Richard Spencer punched in the head during an interview on trump's inaugeration day was glorious. He says he's not a neo-Nazi, but he's still an alt-right douchebag. Here it is, if you'd care to watch.
