Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.
Book Club

So the book club Eleanor and I go to is run by one of my good friends who we met because she is a librarian at our favorite branch. Each month we vote on the next book we are going to read, and this time there was a tie. So I suggested everyone just read the one most interesting to them, but I would read both. Then five other people said they would also read both. Hence, two book club picks this time around!

Happy Reading!

It's nice to be part of a book club. :)
ReplyDeleteI never have been before, and we are having so much fun. It helps that one of my good friends is running it, so I can mostly be myself and know that at least one person doesn't think I am a complete weirdo, lol
Delete'Rampage' and 'Mediocre' are both already on my Wish List. Looking forward to your reviews.
ReplyDeleteA much more reasonable 4 from me this week (or actually LAST week).
Fiction:
Invasion by Frank Gardner
Non-Fiction:
How the World Made the West by Josephine Quinn
The Struggle for Mastery - Britain 1066-1284 by David Carpenter
Sword Beach - The Untold Story of D-Day's Forgotten Victory by Stephen Fisher
Nice! Except not nice, because I still found two on this list - the Quinn book and the Carpenter one.
DeleteI was lucky with the Carpenter. It's been on my Wish List for a while now, but I picked it up *super* cheap in my Charity shop. Apparently we have some quality readers in my area! (plus ones that take good care of their books too!).
DeleteNice! I am super picky about my used books. I hate when I find a title I've been looking for that the library doesn't have, but it's a mess. Lucky for you, my library has both of the ones I am interested in!
