State of the ARC 2

Here we are back for another round of checking out whether I found success or failure in attempting to get caught up on the galleys lingering on my Kindle. State of the ARC is hosted by Avalinah's Books. This feature is a must for me because one of my 2018 Reading Goals (also find a related Top Ten Tuesday HERE) is to catch up on all the galleys I fell behind on when I began writing my own book last year. It's still ugly, but it gets the job done.

The list is still ugly, but it is a work-in-progress. When I have more time to play around I will be able to find a better way to present the information. Hopefully this will be more aesthetically pleasing in the future.

Let me know what you think and leave a link to your post as well.

Happy Reading!

  1. I used to use NetGalley, but I tended to forget about things. My feedback percentage is at 50%. I just logged in to check. Now I've...er, got a NetGalley book to read...(The Sea Barons).

    1. It's so easy to do on NetGalley!! I got myself into trouble early on with that site because I did not realize how important the % was on providing feedback. I was so excited to be approved for all these books, and suddenly my % was at 22%. I have worked hard to get back into the 80%s!

    1. I have seen it around a lot more too, after I finished it. I read it within a couple of days, max. I could not put it down! I hope to have the review up sometime within the week. Such a good and terrifying book.

  3. I only used Netgalley for a short period but I always read and reviewed it days after reading and didn't request more than two at a time. I don't use it now but my rating is 100%.

    1. I did not realize at first the importance of the 80%. It has taken a bit to claw my way back up to it, because I was approved for so many at once! But I have found some absolute treasures so it is worth it now.

    1. The numbers themselves are not terrible, until you consider that some of these are more than a year over-due! I am making a dent at least, and that progress is good :) Luckily none of the overdue ones came with any specific provisions about when I had to post a review because they are via NetGalley and not direct from an author. I used to be much better, but now that I have my focus back, I can get there again and so can you!!
