Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature co-hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

Kindle Unlimited
(Because I can't resist doing the free three-month trial every so often and I specifically signed up for it when I found out that many of Richard Estep's books are available there. Happy Halloween!)
Library Treasures
(Another couple library books FROM MY TBR!)
Happy Reading!

THE KINDLE UNLIMITED BOOKS LOOK SO CREEPY!
ReplyDeleteThat's the point! I wanted to get them all read by midnight tonight, but that is so not happening no matter how hard I tried.
DeleteWhat an interesting collection of books. I agree with Bookworm about the creepiness of those Kindle books. It's a good time to read John Lewis. What an inspiration his life was and we need all the inspiration we can get now.
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting on his memoir forever. I put in a hold way back when I began posting my #BlackLivesMatter reading list and adding books. Then less than two months later he passed. I am grateful to finally have it now, and I will cherish my time reading it.
DeleteYou're going to give yourself nightmares... [lol]
ReplyDelete7 for me this week including the late arrival expected LAST week.
Fiction:
Death of Kings by Philip Gooden
The Pale Companion by Philip Gooden
Dregs by Jorn Lier Horst
Non-Fiction:
Amritsar 1919 - An Empire of Fear and the Making of a Massacre by Kim A Wagner
Unsuitable for Ladies - An Anthology of Women Travellers by Jane Robinson
Our War - How the British Commonwealth Fought the Second World War by Christopher Somerville
Lady Death - The Memoirs of Stalin's Sniper by Lyudmila Pavlichenko
Not going to lie, I definitely have to turn the lights on while I am reading, and then I have to read something else before actually going to sleep, but that's half the fun! Plus he's a great investigator and I like that aspect of his books as well, see how others investigate.
Deletetwo of Harry Harrison's "Eden" trilogy at the library (they had a table outside the building). now i have to find the third...
ReplyDeleteNice, hope you find the third one!
DeleteI love the sound of Richard Estep’s books! I’ve KU on a three month free trial just now, I’ll check them out!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, please do! Villisca is the very newest one, and Spirits of the Cage is still my favorite, although now I can't remember if I saw it on KU, as I read it ages ago. I believe some of his fiction was available also, if you are interested. Let's talk about them once you've had a chance to read them also!
DeleteOh I cannot do the halloween themed books. I am a wimp. Hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteSo far so good, they are great! Thanks for coming by :)
DeleteThis week I found a Little Free Library in my neighborhood! So I gave two and took two. My friend who self publishes her mystery books gave me her latest and I got my Nervous Breakdown Book Club selection which looks very good!
ReplyDeleteLove, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst
Exposing the Past by Alice Zogg
Lord The One You Love is Sick by Kasey Thorton
Quite a collection, looks good. Hope you love them, and hooray for Little Free Libraries!
