State of the ARC #44

State of the ARC is a monthly feature hosted by Evelina at Avalinah's Books - and now me, too! I took over temporary hosting duties back in early 2020. A couple months ago Evelina asked if I would like to co-host and of course I said yes! If you are new to the meme, you can check out the guidelines HERE.

Links go to my review. The majority of the ARCs I receive are through NetGalley. I sometimes find a book or two via Edelweiss or BookSirens. Others have come from authors, publicists, or were offered to me from a publisher who specifically approved me for it on NetGalley; I will always note in the review how I acquired the ARC.

Review or Feedback Sent

When I first started blogging my monthly State of the ARC I felt like I was drowning in ARCs. My main goal was to get my NetGalley feedback ratio above 80% and thanks to this meme, I slowly but surely clawed my way up. At my highest I was at 97%. I am currently at 94%.

How are you doing with your ARC goals? Let's talk ARCs!

Happy Reading

  1. I don't do ARCs so I have no ARC goals, but I am impressed with the number and variety of books you have read/are reading.

    1. Thank you! I have tried really hard to cut back on NetGalley and I've gone from having a really low percentage to my 94%, which I am super proud of because it was HARD WORK! (Typical bookdragon, describing our life's work as hard, right? lol.) I am much more selective now about what I request, so that helps a lot.

  2. Way to keep up with your list! Hope you both are doing well!

    1. Hey Ethan, it is so good to hear from you again! We are doing okay; I was absent for much of February and into March because Eleanor's grandma (dad's mom) unexpectedly passed away and it was terrible for all of us. Basically we burrowed into books and didn't come out much. But now we're both a bit better and eagerly awaiting summer vacation. Eleanor has two dance competitions left this season (four down, two to go) and she is absolutely crushing her group numbers and solo. I am so proud of her. Hope you are well!

Thanks for visiting my little book nook. I love talking books so leave a comment and let's chat!
