Happy Reading!
Sarah
You have an intriguing set of very different books from one another. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteLots of good ones so far, thank you!
DeleteThe Other Renaissance looks like interesting reading.
ReplyDeleteHopefully I will get to it this weekend!
DeleteWaco is only an hour from my hometown and is a very personal event to me...I remember watching it all go on and so that book looks interesting! You have several really good ones here I haven't heard of. Great list!
ReplyDeleteIt is one of the first major news events I remember as a kid, I was ten. I remember coming home every day after school and watching the news.
DeleteQuite the library haul this week. Hope you get time to read them before they are due. (I always snagged more than I could read by the due date when I was a library regular.)
ReplyDeleteSo far, so good. I think I have read read most of them by now. We get to renew three times, but are also no longer charged late fees, so that's pretty cool.
DeleteJust 3 from me this time and I think only 1 that *might* interest you.......
ReplyDeleteFiction:
Stone Blind by Natalie Haynes
Non-Fiction:
1940: The World in Flames by Richard Collier
The Face of War by Martha Gellhorn
1940? If so, yes! It's going on your personal sub-TBR, lol
DeleteI thought it'd be the Gellhorn book - female war correspondents and all that.....
DeleteOh, good call! Both, obviously.
