Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

I'm overdue for a library visit, but then I have so many ebooks to read....
ReplyDeleteI have so many ARCs right now and I keep going to the library because I have no self control.

Unfortunately the book was not good. It was a sloppy mess.
DeleteLooks like some fun books. I just picked up a few from the library too including Count of Monte Cristo....that'll probably take me a month or two. :)

ReplyDeleteThank you, Cindy!
DeleteThe Waco story is continuously fascinating to me. I may need to go on a non-fiction binge soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of the earliest major events I remember from childhood. I specifically remember coming home after school every single day to see what was going on. Unfortunately I was disappointed in this one, despite normally liking Guinn's work. I feel like the real crime - Koresh raping young girls - entirely glossed-over. It seriously got maybe five pages, one short chapter. That was the real crime, not the b.s. weapons and drugs bullshit.
DeleteOof that's a shame.
DeleteI'm still pretty furious about it. He was marrying teen girls and having babies with them. And younger girls were identified as basically being groomed to eventually becoming his wives. The fact that this is all but ignored is so disgusting. THAT's why he should have been arrested.
