Spring Break, WOOHOO! Now, About Those ARCs...

I am officially on break as of 4:20 PM yesterday!

The bummer is that Eleanor goes to school in a different district, so her break is in a couple weeks. But the upside is that at least I get to pick her up from school all week, so a win is a win, no matter how small.

Mom is also here visiting because Eleanor had her show choir season finale on Thursday. This was Eleanor's first year and it did not disappoint. She made the JV group and loved every minute of it. Show choir is a HUGE deal at her middle school and the high school it feeds into, and it's not an 'everyone makes the team' kind of thing. No joke, the kids get out of school early on competition days. The varsity team is now undefeated three years running. Eleanor's group placed first at all four competititons with Varsity and JV divisions. They placed 3rd at the only competition where it was all varsity teams.

We will have Monday together as well because Eleanor doesn't have school, but after that I am on my own because Mom is leaving Tuesday.

Which means...

I once again try (and likely fail) to get some ARC reviews done.

I am aiming for twenty reviews between now and next Sunday night. It is 100% possible if I do not just curl up on the couch and read for the entire break.

Here's my current State of the ARC from February, though I have gotten a couple new ARCs that won't be listed until the March post is up on the 31st. Wish me luck!

Happy Reading
Sarah

  4. Our spring break doesn't begin till mid of April. My son was also let out of school early for games.. it boggles my mind, missing 20+ minutes of last period. Enjoy your break and good luck on all those reviews.
