This week's topic is Books I Meant to Read in 2018 but Didn't Get To. If you have been following my for a while, you know that I began a reading goal in 2017 to read a book about each president. I have failed big-time and am now going into year three with this goal. As such, it is a given that pretty much every book on my TBR about a president is one that I meant to read last year. And the year before. So, here are some I am super excited to read but have yet to get my hands on. All of have been on my Kindle for ages, except Michelle Obama's book, which I have been on the wait-list for at my library for weeks and am only up to #86 on like, 112 copies.
Here's to knocking a few of these out in 2019.
So what's on your list? Leave a comment and a link to your TTT.
Happy Reading!
Sarah
Hope you enjoy all of these, Sarah! Appreciate your visit to Finding Wonderland. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Rissi, and thanks for the visit as well. happy Reading!
DeleteI'm reading BECOMING right now. So good. I hope you get to it, too. My TTT Books I meant to read last year
ReplyDeleteI AM SO JEALOUS!!! I can't wait...maybe I will have it by March, haha. Thanks for coming by!
DeleteDeath in the City of Light- because Paris? Anything w/ Paris usually gets my attention, at least a bit. And Fries! Even though I don't realy eat them much I'm curious about that one. :)
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that trend with you! The Fries book is even an illustrated guide, so I will probably be starving by the time I finish it.
DeleteLooks like some very interesting books on here. I'm intrigued by Michelle Obama's book! (Sorry if you get this twice!) My TTT
ReplyDeleteThanks Chrissi - I am up to #61 on 115 copies now!
DeleteOMG, that Fries book is the funniest thing. Now I want to read it, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
And it is even ILLUSTRATED! I should probably make or get some fries BEFORE I start reading it, right?? Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteBecoming was on my list this week too!

Oh good, I always feel like it is just me over here with the non-fiction. I am glad others have some titles like that as well - and she is amazing, so I know the book will be great!
DeleteThe Poisoner's Handbook sounds intriguing! Poison has such an interesting history.
ReplyDeleteIt really does! I am not usually interested in the Victorian age, but when it comes to poison, that really is the best era to read about. I have a few other poison books on my TBR also that I hope to get to this year.
DeleteThe Vistorians did love a good poisoning. (So much opportunity for drama, and they did like an opportunity for drama.) (Too soon for Victorian poisoning jokes?)
DeleteIt is NEVER too soon for Victorian poisoning jokes!
DeleteI hope you get a chance to read all these! I haven't read any of them, so I'll have to check them out. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and thanks for stopping by!
DeleteGreat list! Hope you love them once you read them!

I hope so too, thank you Marti. And thanks for stopping by!
DeleteInteresting mix of books - as always! Vodka and Fries.... Now *there's* a thought!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I was a whisky girl in my younger years, so I am not sure vodka and fries would literally go well together though, lol.
DeleteBTW - I've been thinking about our conversation regarding biogs of British Prime Ministers. Not really wanted to go all the way back to 1724 I thought I'd stick (at least to begin with) to the 20th century... It turns out that there were 21 PMs who had their entire terms in the 20th. Knocking out Teresa May (as she's still PM for now) that leaves 20 which is a reasonable number..... Say 5 a year at least..... that's do-able.... [grin]
ReplyDeleteOh come on, you could easily read 20 in a year, where's the challenge in five :P
DeleteBut seriously yes, that is a good goal. Breaking it up into parts is also the route I probably should have gone. It seems more manageable that way. we got this!
That's a pretty interesting goal, to read a book about each president. I saw one book list that had a book from every country that sounded interesting. I haven't read any of the books on your list.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think it is really interesting also...so I can't figure out why it is taking me so long! I like the country idea too. But I will probably save that until these darn presidents are out of the way first.
DeleteGreat post and great list pf books I hope you can get the chance to read all these books on your TTT post. Thank you so much for stopping by my TTT post .
ReplyDeleteThank you, and thank for stopping by here as well. Happy Reading!
DeleteThe Poisoner's Handbook was great. I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT and my ARC review of Enchantée by Gita Trelease
Good to hear! it has been on my list for at least three years, so this will give me extra motivation. Happy Reading!
DeleteThere were about 200 I wanted to read and had no time for last year!
ReplyDeleteWith our TBRs, you know my list was way higher than ten! I honestly had about thirty in the original post before I was finally like, "No, this is crazy, just pick ten."
DeleteThere were so many books I didn't get to last year that I don't even want to think about it!!
ReplyDeleteOf your list The Journey Of Man looks like it could be interesting and I like a good poisoning story too.
Good luck with getting Becoming. Maybe before Easter?
I know how you feel, my list was suuuuuuper long and finally I decided to just pick nine randoms (plus Becoming) from the massive post I had created. Good news today, I am up to #46 on the hold list, I may get the book before Valentine's Day even!
