Books From The Backlog #5

Books from the Backlog, hosted by Carole's Random Life in Books, is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your shelf unread.

Why did I add The Nazi Olympics to my TBR?

I have been interested in The Holocaust, Nazis, and WWII for as long as I can remember. I've read anything I could get my hands on, from elementary school, on. This is one aspect of Hitler and the Nazis before the war that I know almost nothing about.

Have you read this book, or is it on your TBR? If you've read it, would you recommend it to others?

  1. Ooh yes, that is such an interesting part of the Nazi tale! I read about it in The Boys in the Boat, about an American rowing team that competed in the 1936 Olympics. https://keepthewisdom.blogspot.com/2017/03/the-boys-in-boat.html

    1. I keep adding the book to my TBR and removing it, I can't decide if I want to read it or not! I will probably add it now, as I've read your review.

  4. This is something that I know nothing about. I have read a lot of books set during WWII but nothing like this. Should be interesting.

    1. It really is. I read a book about Jesse Owens and the Nazi Olympics, but it focused far more on him and his life; the actual Olympics was not covered in-depth, but I also didn't expect it to be. I have seen a few shows as well, so many good resources.
