Stacking the Shelves #171

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc.

  1. Only two for me too... Both non-fiction:

    1. I am vaguely interested in The Book of Humans. You may keep Alien!

    2. I thought you'd be safe this time! [grin] The 'Alien' book is part of a pop-culture philosophy series I've been reading & enjoying lots. The 'Humans' book is part of my long running focus on Evolution & Genetics which is a thing for me. I'll try for a "low Sarah interest" factor for next week too... [lol]

    3. I think I remember you talking about that series before, it sounds familiar. Thanks for not buying books that I will want, lol.

  2. The Couple Next Door looks suitably ominous.

    1. I liked it well enough; a suitable way to pass a couple hours. A bit twisty, which we like. I read two more this weekend and I think still have one or two more coming from the library. Will probably do mini reviews for them. You might like them, though they're more domestic thrillers and adult-y than our lovely Bayview darlings.

    2. Have you watched any of One of Us Is Lying yet???

    3. No, we don't have streaming service. I am hoping someone will bootleg put it on YouTube at some point, lol. I'm also nervous because THAT GUY IS NOT NATE!

    4. I know, he doesn't look like Nate to me either. I went to watch the first episode last night (apparently they let you watch the first three free) but they wanted me to make an account and I was like fuck that noise.

    5. Ugh. He's just not Nate. And no one can convince me otherwise.
