Books From The Backlog #63

Books from the Backlog, hosted by Carole's Random Life in Books, is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your shelf unread.

I am featuring books in the order that they were added to my Goodreads To-Read shelf, so sometimes there will be a couple weeks in a row of books on the same topic.

Neglected Book of the Week

Why did I add Six Tycoons to my TBR?

Because Gilded Age NYC is one of my loves and I can't get enough.

Have you read this book, or is it somewhere on your TBR? If you've read it, would you recommend it to others?

Happy Reading!
Sarah

  1. I've read a little on these men in shorter pieces. Always fascinated by that time period in American history.

    1. I love this time period so much. The Gilded Age world is so fascinating, especially NYC and Philly. I have tons of recs if you ever want some!

  2. Cool cover; hadn't seen this book before. Sorry Henry Flagler didn't make the list -- his architecture in St. Augustine is absolutely divine, and I mean that literally. One of the rooms there is the most beautiful space I've ever been inside, and that's counting several cathedrals.
