Stacking the Shelves #55

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature co-hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality. It is a chance to showcase all the goodies you've collected throughout the week, whether they're bought on-line or in-store, an ARC or a final copy, borrowed from a friend or the library, physical or digital, etc. Never has my addiction been more obvious than when I am now keeping track of every single book I acquire.

What did you add to your stash this week?

Happy Reading!

  1. I bought a pile of cheap political books a couple of weeks back and I'm gradually adding them so I don't swamp my progress with Tackling The TBR!

    1. What jerks! Losing books is a sin and shall not be easily forgiven. Hopefully they find it.

I am not done with the moon book yet, but it is really neat, I like it.

  4. OK, I have a story to tell. I was reading along in Chimes of a Lost Cathedral by Janet Fitch, a book I bought last week in hardcover. Suddenly I realized I was reading a page that did not follow from the last page and was a page I had already read. There were 32 pages missing in the copy I was reading and instead those 32 pages were another set of pages I had read earlier. I was so deep into the story, it was Saturday night, Barnes & Noble was closed for the night. So I bought an ebook copy, read those missing pages and went back to the hardcover. Hoping I can get a replacement copy from the store this week. This is a new reading problem I have never had before. So my one new book in was a book I already had!

    1. That is so crazy! How does that even happen?? And seeing as how books are printed in such huge batches, I am guessing that other readers are having the same problem as you!
