Tackling the TBR Week 25: July 1 - July 7, 2019

Each week I will be keeping track of books that I have read from my TBR. I have a huge backlog of books and often end up reading new books that are not even on my list, instead of trying to whittle down the list that continues to balloon up on Goodreads. Chuckles had the idea first, and we are going to use this as a chance to encourage each other to get those books read instead of always grabbing new ones and thus never making a dent in the physical and digital stacks we already have. It will also give us a chance to take a good look at our lists and see if there are ones we are no longer interested in. We will be posting on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and the last day of the month.

Previous Week's TBR Total: 3,357

Books Added to TBR: 3

Books Removed from TBR: 0

Currently Reading: 5

Books Read: 3

Books DNF-ed: 0

New TBR Total: 3,354

My mom arrived yesterday; Eleanor's birthday is this Wednesday and we will be having a big party Saturday to celebrate. I can not accept the fact that my baby is almost SIX! Reading may be more sporadic, or less. When Gobby is here, Eleanor has no time for me.

Happy Reading!

  1. I had a pretty good week. I just hope I can keep that going through the rest of the summer. I'd like to start my Autumn Reading List in September with good progress behind me!

    1. I have been on a review kick, so I think my numbers will be terrible this week! Ah well, it is also Eleanor's birthday tomorrow so we will just have to see what happens on Thursday and Friday!

  2. I am afraid my TBR grew last week. I added a whole bunch of books by one author and right now I don't even remember who that was! I will never get to all of them but it is still fun for me to try. Have fun with mom/grandma!

    1. We are having so much fun, thank you!

I have done that before also, adding one authors entire catalog, and promptly forgetting. Oops!
