My TBR has been out of control for a while now. Then I started tracking weekly my true reading/acquiring habits, and voila! I have been able to keep on top of things a little bit better. I may never get below 1,000 books, but at least I won't be topping out over 5,000!
I will be posting on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and the last day of the month. Feel free to join in if you'd like!
If you read these posts often, you will recall that it's usually just a boring list of numbers. I am trying to make it more interactive and show off what I am reading and potential treasures I am finding.
+++++++++++++++
Previous Week's TBR Total: 3,146
Currently Reading: 9
Books Added to TBR: 3
Books Removed from TBR: 9
Books Read: 2
Books DNF-ed: 0

New TBR Total: 3,137
What do you think of the new additions, yay or nay on including select covers?
Any of these catch your eye? Or have you already read any?
Happy Reading!
Sarah
Ooh The Last Week looks pretty good!
ReplyDeleteIt really is so far, though I think the best book I have read about the final week of Jesus' earthly life is by Andreas Kostenberger called The Final Days of Jesus. I read it every during during the Passion Week, as it is broken up day by day, and also looks at Scripture from all four books of the Gospel and addresses differences in each. I love it. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17914369-the-final-days-of-jesus
DeleteI remember you talking about that one before! In fact I wrote it down but I haven't bought it yet. I'm going to though, sounds fabulous.
DeleteThat's right, I forgot we had talked about it. I love that it puts each book of the Gospel side by side. Plus there are tons of graphics, maps and such that help you visualize Jerusalem at the time. It is a must-own in my opinion.
DeleteAnother nice reduction in the TBR! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I need some good weeks, after the crazy couple where the numbers climbed!
DeleteI liked Forensics, though it may be a bit dry if your not that interested in the subject.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot so far!
DeleteThe Nancy Drew one looks nice. I've actually been reading about fossils and space, which is actually very interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt's really interesting so far. I loved the original series as a kid. The yellow hardbacks will always be my favorite, I have never read any of the newer ones.
DeleteI don't recall adding any books to my TBR this week, but sometimes I forget what I add. I knocked off two rereads, both of which we on my TBR to reread. And I read another Caldecott Medal winner from 2000: So You Want to Be President? It was entertaining!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the three you got from the library? ;) Were they already on your TBR? If so, well done!
