Tackling the TBR Week 20: May 22 - May 31, 2020

My TBR has been out of control for YEARS. Then in January of 2019 I started tracking weekly my true reading/acquiring habits, and voila! I have been able to keep on top of things a little bit better. I may never get below 1,000 books, but at least I won't be topping out over 5,000! When a book cover is linked, it goes to the review here on my blog.

I will be posting on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and the last day of the month. Feel free to join in if you'd like!

If a book is linked in the 'Books Read' section, you can click the cover to go to my review.

Not too shabby that I had all those new adds, but my TBR only went up by one. Whew!

Any of these catch your eye? Have you already read any? Let me know!

Happy Reading!

    1. This whole week has been awful. I have a hard time focusing on something as trivial as blogging when innocent Black men are being murdered by the police. I went to a protest on Saturday night, and want to blog about that. Then a Black man was murdered in the Old Market by a known white supremacist racist homophobic transphobic piece of garbage and magically, that murderer is walking away without charges. It is beyond sickening. I am trying to push through as well though.

  2. I like how you keep yourself motivated to keep up on your pile by listing what you got and what you read. Nice variety in your stack, too.

    1. It really helps; this used to just be a boring list of numbers but I am trying to make it more interesting my showing the books and linking to reviews for those I have finished. It helps big-time to monitor how many I am actually adding to the TBR each we, so I can stay active in removing those I am no longer interested in.

  3. Administrations of Lunacy... that seems apt.

    Ooh did you like Sundown?

    1. Right? Could write a whole book about that fuck-knuckle in office right now.

I LOVED SUN DOWN SO MUCH and I don't even know how to write the review because I loved it so much.

  4. I've seen good things about the Tonya Kappas series, and the Sun Down Motel which I also just got a copy of from my library. Hope we both love it. Sorry to hear you're having some issues with Maggie in This Is How I Lied. I can't say I was 100% in love with her or any of the other characters, to be honest, but I found the story compelling.

    1. I am on book one of the ghostly cozy series still but it is cute and I like it so far. Sun Down is AMAZING. I loved it so much. I finished This is How I Lied and I feel...meh about it. I guessed the killer pretty early, but didn't guess the WHY until that was all revealed. I feel like the author is much stronger at writing in third person than first. There were so many minute details from Maggie and I really didn't like being in her head. I am not sure how I will end up rating it, I am giving myself a little time to think. I did think the story was very compelling, for sure. I just get disappointed when I guess the killer so early.

  5. Stop Telling Women To Smile immediately caught my eye. I just googled Tatiana and her artwork is stunning so I would like to read her book too
